Our Philosophy

We believe Sponsored Residential services are most meaningful when they are shaped by lived experience. As parents of an adult child with special needs ourselves, we understand the deep love, responsibility, and lifelong commitment involved in caring for a child with disabilities.

We know that home is more than a place—it is where trust is built, dignity is preserved, and families belong together. Our philosophy is rooted in supporting families who choose to keep their children at home by surrounding them with guidance, oversight, and dependable support. Sponsored Residential services exist not to replace families, but to strengthen them—reducing stress, promoting stability, and making lifelong care at home possible. We are committed to honoring family bonds, protecting individual rights, and ensuring that services support real life, real homes, and real relationships

Our philosophy is rooted in person-centered practices, recognizing that each individual is unique, with their own strengths, preferences, goals, culture, and life experiences. We support individuals to make choices about their daily lives and to participate fully in their communities, while receiving the supports they need to be healthy, safe, and successful.

We believe that home is the foundation of well-being. Sponsored residential homes should be nurturing, inclusive environments where dignity, privacy, and independence are honored. Supports are delivered in the least restrictive manner possible, always balancing safety with autonomy and self-determination.

Happy Home is guided by the principles of respect, compassion, accountability, and integrity. Our sponsors and staff are expected to uphold the rights of individuals at all times. We emphasize collaboration with individuals, families, guardians, and community partners to ensure supports remain responsive and effective.

We are committed to continuous learning and quality improvement, recognizing that high-quality services require ongoing training, reflection, and improvement. Through trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approaches, we strive to create homes where individuals feel secure, supported, and empowered to grow.

At Happy Home, we don’t just provide services—we create homes where people belong.

Our mission is to make lifelong care at home possible—so families never have to choose between love and livelihood. We support parents in keeping their children at home by easing financial strain and surrounding families with compassionate, dependable support for a life rooted in dignity, stability, and connection.
